Specific Job Related Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
:
Coaches and supervises staff including analyzing workload, determining work priority, assigning duties, overseeing work progress and staff development.
Translates strategy into operational direction and performs complex analysis and administration.
Performs annual staff performance evaluations and develops criteria for hiring and discipline situations.
:
Manages the compensation program including the salary planning process.
Collaborates with other departments to design and administer a Total Rewards philosophy.
:
Designs and presents various compensation topics as needed (internal or external to the institution).
:
Manages the development and preparation of the annual UT System reports based on System's schedule.
:
Manages and administers employee/salary approval process as required by UT System; and interfaces with UT System and various other UT component counterparts for all compensation related issues.
:
Manages and participates in the implementation, testing and support of compensation computer applications to streamline and automate work processes.
:
Participates in institutional task forces focused on compensation program initiatives and communications.
:
Ensures that all compensation programs and practices are in compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements and agencies.
Directs corrective action where appropriate.
:
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC FUNCTIONS:

Acts on behalf of the Director in their absence when needed with specific regard to compensation related issues, programs, policies, etc.
