Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.
Salary Range The salary is from 29,120 to 43,680 annually.
The band code is a SC13 Specific Job Related Duties MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected.

Performs technical services including but not limited to DNA/RNA isolation/quantitation, molecular cloning, PCR, RT:
PCR, qPCR, protein isolation, SDS:
PAGE, agarose gel electrophoresis, immunoblots, ELISA, virus infectivity assays,histology, immunohistochemistry, and assist with animal procedures including necropsy.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.

May require working in biological containment laboratories, BSL:
3 and BSL:
4.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard laboratory environment, may also include high containment facility environment.
Requires completion of appropriate vaccinations.
Preferred Work Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry is preferred.

Working knowledge of microbiological techniques is preferred.
:
Prior experience in BSL:
3 laboratory setting is preferred but not required.
:
Experience with quality control, quality assurance, and good laboratory practices is preferred, but not required.
:
The applicant must meet all State and Federal requirements necessary for working with Select Agents.
