Job Responsibilities Manages the county recruiting activities that will ensure candidates meet department's defined criteria for posted positions.
Maintains and enhances the County electronic recruitment platform.
Conducts traffic violation and criminal background checks, as well as pre-employment testing including drug testing, physical, TB skin tests and cholinesterase tests dependent on position.
Monitors and updates the County's website job postings and an accurate logbook of advertised positions.
Conducts employment interviews, prescreen interviews and applicant testing.
Participates in academic and community sponsored employment events.
May assist with material development defining the County's hiring policies, benefit programs and employment opportunities.
Maintains the random drug testing additions and deletions logbook and maintains direct contact with drug testing medical management team.
Performs new employee orientations and assist in new hire training.
Prepares and maintains the new hire orientation packets.
Oversees the maintenance of accurate and completed personnel records and confidential files.
Provides education to county employees regarding county benefit plans Processes employee benefit changes / provides benefit education to new hires.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires two years of experience in human resources, recruitment, education or closely related experience.
