We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Event Specialist to join our team.
As an Event Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing planned wedding events.
This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of on-location weddings at the Galveston cruise port, ensuring smooth execution on the day of the event - Serve as the primary point of contact for the couple, their guests, and internal staff regarding on-location wedding logistics - Oversee on-site coordination during weddings to ensure everything runs smoothly and handle any issues or emergencies that may arise - Work closely with the cruise line staff to coordinate event details and ensure compliance with their policies and procedures - Ensure that all on-location weddings adhere to the company's standards of professionalism, customer service, and excellence in event execution - Positively engage with customers through effective communication - Collect data and feedback from customers to evaluate the success of events
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proven experience in wedding coordination or event management - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others - Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, and effectively manage unexpected situations or emergencies - Bilingual proficiency is a bonus - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by event schedules - Ability to work independently and as part of a team If you are passionate about event coordinating and enjoy engaging with people, we would love to hear from you.
