Job Responsibilities Assists with budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, and expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices.
Assists department management with budget-related activities; reviews monthly financial reports; provides information on past budgets and expenditures for use in developing budget proposals; and retrieves and reports information on expenditures and current fund balances.
Researches procurement options for IT services, following County procurement guidelines.
Develops relationships with DIR and other contract-vehicle vendors for potential IT service procurement.
Serves as liaison between department management and customers and section staff/employees; responds to questions regarding department activities and services; explains policies, procedures and operations; and follows up to obtain additional information.
Processes invoices for payment and is responsible for departmental purchasing records and related documents.
Assists with researching online purchasing history documentation.
Prepares and handles personnel files and paperwork.
Prepares and enters departmental purchase orders.
Performs payroll duties; monitors timesheets for accuracy; adjusts pension codes and corrects coding for employees; ensures entries are correct.
Coordinates and directs office services, such as records, departmental finances, and budget preparation.
Performs general office duties, such as ordering supplies, answering phones, maintaining records systems and basic bookkeeping.
Provides assistance to the CIO including schedule management, communications and correspondence, and other activities as requested.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Requires three years of clerical experience or closely related experience, including budgeting and/or finance.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
