Health and Safety Specialist
Job Description KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Schedule the calibration and maintenance of VOC and LEL meters, and manage emissions contract and data collection for environmental reporting regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with management on the medical surveillance program including fit testing for respirators and maintenance of the medical files.
Please note that periodic inspections and written evaluations must be done to ensure that the respiratory program is being followed.
Supervise the lock out tag out and other OSHA-required programs.
Audit these programs and report results to managers.
Report to management and post results of 3rd party surveys as required by OSHA.
Perform chemical and product inventory review and maintain the required MSDS/SDS files on the common drive.
Maintain records for new hire training including but not limited to HAZWOPER, lockout tag out, confined space entry, first flange opening, and hazard communication procedures.
Review Contractor Qualification Forms, making recommendations to management based upon that review.
Participate in and record all memoranda of change (MOC) meetings.
Maintain the associated MOC files.
Other duties as required and assigned by the VP EHS & S.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
