Company Description Lone Star Marine Shelters is a custom fabricator of marine living quarters, MCC Buildings, VFD Buildings, Labs for the offshore industry.
We also specialize in the fabrication of high blast and high fire rated onshore refinery buildings.
We are located in Galveston, Texas.
Job Description QA/QC Inspector Located in Galveston, Texas, Lone Star Marine Shelters is a fabricator of steel Offshore Living Quarters and other various buildings and structures for the oil & gas industry.
Our mission is to be the clear choice when customers seek experts to design, engineer, and fabricate custom steel structures.
Duties:
o Must be able to read/ interpret AutoCAD supplied drawings o Ensures the final fabricated product complies with all company, client, and third party specifications o Coordinates with the receiving department to assess materials/ equipment comply with company generated purchase orders o Prepares documentation and pack lists for shipment of final fabricated product Additional duties may be assigned as required Desired skills and
Experience:
o Must possess excellent verbal, written and computer skills o Ability to analyze client specifications to ensure compliance by company o 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC o Familiar with AWS, ABS, DNV, USCG codes o Familiar with UT, MT, VT, NDT methods o Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) would be beneficial o Must be able to handle certain physical demands such as climbing ladders, going up and down stairs o Familiarity with outfitting, piping, coatings, electrical Bilingual (Spanish) a plus This is a full-time position with benefits.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and job related skills.
Galveston Island is an easy commute to work compared to the congestion to the north of the Island.
