Breast Care Center Cardiovascular Services Center for Sleep Disorders Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Emergency Services Level II Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit Occupational Health and Wellness Senior Mental Health Women's Services Mainland Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) -Emergency Department.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Emergency Room and managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment.
Maintains competency in performing all skills outlined in the ED Competency Skills List.
Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care Responsible for administration of medications, knowledge of actions, indications, adverse reaction, dosage and route.
Obtains various specimens according to protocols.
Assists physician with procedures.
Responsible for direction of emergent care in crisis situation in a calm, knowledgeable manner.
Responsible to know and conform to the Texas Nursing Practice Act and the Board's rules and regulations as well as all federal, state, or local laws, rules or regulations affecting the RN's current area of nursing practice.
Responsible to clarify any order or treatment regimen that the nurse has reason to believe is inaccurate, non-efficacious or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner and notifying the ordering practitioner when the RN makes the decision not to administer the medication or treatment.
Ensures that nursing staff interactions with assigned patient group(s) are appropriate and in accordance with patient's age, developmental level.
Assumes responsibility of charging unit, as appropriate.
Adheres to and complies with the HCA Code of Conduct as part of our Ethics and Compliance program.
Attends annual training sessions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
