Description:
Partner with Legal, Sales Operations and Sales to analyze and structure deals in the contract negotiation process, specifically related to revenue recognition, procurement, NDA, etc.
Review and document executed contracts to ensure revenue is recognized appropriately.
Perform and maintain VSOE and BESP analyses to support accounting for multiple element arrangements.
Perform analysis to ensure specific/non-specific reserves are adequate and justifiable.
Support Revenue Operations, FP&A and general managers with revenue related questions and forecast vs.
actual variance analysis.
Support purchase accounting, due diligence, process improvement and other special projects as assigned.
Skills & Requirements Prior experience reviewing customer contracts during sales cycle strongly preferred.
Possess superior problem solving, analytical, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
Possess superior computer skills, such as an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2007.
Hands on experience with an enterprise level using financial system software, such as Oracle.
Demonstrates superior ability to take initiative, work independently or as part of a team and meet tight deadlines.
Displays superior communication skills, as demonstrated by an ability to interpret, present and explain complex accounting issues.
Strong understanding of revenue recognition rules, including SOP 97-2, SAB 104, EITF 08-01 (now the Codification), and EITF 99-19 (now the Codification) required.
Professional
Qualifications:
Requires an undergraduate degree in Accounting.
4
years experience working in an Accounting environment, preferably Big 4 CPA firm.
Experience interpreting customer contracts.
CPA certification is a plus.
