Is the principal BASF Corporation representative to the alliance contractors and vendors for assigned services.
Serves as the focal point for BASF users of such services.

Meets with alliance contractors' and service vendors' management on a regular basis to review performance and investigate opportunities for improvement.

Cranes, rigging :
Hydro/Chemical Cleaning :
Rental Services :
Laydown area management :
Land lord of contractor central work area.

Ensures that site contractor estimating standards are up to date with actual performance to enable accurate cost forecasting and control.

Leads efforts to improve contractor productivity.
Qualifications :
BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 plus years or High School Diploma and 10 plus years industrial experience in a chemical plant / manufacturing environment.
Construction and/or maintenance or equivalent experience.

Familiar with petro:
chemical plant construction techniques and demonstrated knowledge of various contractor services.
:
Must be familiar with quality control techniques and their application in the construction industry.
Demonstrated ability to understand and utilize non:
technical phases of service execution (e.
g.
, planning and scheduling, receiving and handling systems etc.
).
:
Participates in continuing education training to stay current in the technology advances in the construction field.

Also participates in professional organizations and internal committees representing the construction discipline and related engineering disciplines.

Must have an understanding of contract language and performance based contracts.
